OK, so I have decided that I have no mechanical ability. I used to think that I did, but I now realize I don't. I took shop in high school, I know how to do brakes, change oil, swap out a rear end, I have even managed to change out a transmission or 2 along the way. Now all of these tasks where undertaken by myself with basic hand tools and a good jack and jack stands, for the most part they have gone off without too many hitches, maybe a few more trips to the parts store than I like, but nothing to major. Now, you may be thinking, That sounds like you have SOME mechanical ability, but let me tell you I don't.

What I have is PARTS CHANGER ABILTIY, it has served me well through the years, but I REFUSE to call it mechanical ability any longer!
For, as soon as A and B don't line up, I get frustrated, I can't think straight, and things don't go well. Someone with mechanical ability would just shrug this off and work through it, eventually fixing the problem THEMSELVES! This just doesn't seem to happen for me, I end up calling my older brother (who apparently STOLE ALL THE MECHANICAL ABILTY IN THE FAMILY GENES!) to help me fix my mistakes.

So in conclusion,
1. I have no mechanical ability
2. when swapping engines, don't decide that its a good time to "upgrade" the carb and ignition
3. Be glad your not my older, overworked brother! Laughing

sorry for the long post
