My prayers go out to his family - no one should have to live with this kind of lost.

Hey, this is Stephanie. I'm greatful, Doug had his access to the sight locked in the computer, so I could get to you. He just Loved to Go Jeeping. Thank you everyone for your kind words and pictures. Doug looked forward to going out with all of you. It's amazing how fast he grew to love this insane hobby.
I read that someone wanted to know how to reach us. So here's the contact info:
Stephanie, Madeline, and Margaret Heine
55 EMS T6 Lane
Leesburg, IN 46538
(574)834-5792
I've spent a lot of time looking thorugh the picures. We had the best time at Bash this year. He had such a great time at Tellico with Randy, that we were starting to plan a trip back there next summer.
I gotta thank Zach for letting you know about all this. He has been such a great friend to Doug and I. He's grown up so much in just the few years I've Known him. He's a great teacher, loyal friend, and crazy as @#$%. He always could make Doug laugh. You guys get a little too tough on the kid sometimes, so please give him time to grieve, be as understanding as possible and help him out.
Zach and our Daughter, Maggie will be driving Big Blue in the Honor procession with all the fire trucks on the way to the church. Doug wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
Sweeze, Ranger Paul, John & Craig, Randy, JoeZ - You guys rock too! We have had a great time bouncing around and sharing the laughs.
Doug would have hated us crying over him, so crack open a brew, recall a Doug Story, and remember to share yourselves with each other as freely as he gave of himself to others. Live your life to the fullest with no regrets. Doug Did and I couldn't have been prouder to known and loved him.
Love,
Steph

Such a tragic loss. Doug was always so friendly, so willing to get to know everyone and so willing to share himself with everyone. We were lucky to have been able to have called him as a friend here at gljt.
Stephanie, we will definately celebrate Doug's life as he lived it. Full of laughter and fond memories. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers and please let us know if you need anything, now or in the future.

Holy *(%$...I'm completely speechless. I opened this expecting it to be another Jeepin' buddy moving out of the area and was totally floored. My condolences to you and your family, Stephanie. Doug had been in touch with me personally a few times while I was dealing with my health issues and helped me to keep my head up and it was appreciated more than words can even say...truly a great loss. I bought those cut-out flares from him that are on Big Blue in some of the older pics and have been going back & forth about installing them on my rig...they're definitely going on now as a small reminder of him to me.

I'm stunned.... I'd been wheeling with Doug a few times and he was a stand up guy. Easy to get to know and fun loving. He was the first to show me a line or throw me a line. I'm deeply saddened.
I'll keep his family in my prayers in the coming week.
